Amazon.com : silicone grease

Above are two videos that will help home owners understand the EZ Tank liquid chlorinator. There is also a link to the manufacturers web site so you may view the owners manual (in case you did not receive one). The key is to be ready to completely fill it if you loosen the lid. So do not try to micro manage it. Once the reservoir is empty, remove lid and insure it is clean and has a film of silicon grease on the gasket, insure the neck of the reservoir is clean with a film of silicon grease on it (vaseline will NOT work), open three gallons of bleach, pour in bleach as quickly as possible (don’t stop to look, just pour until its full), install the lid firmly but do not over tighten, and your done. Remember, time is of the escence. As you are pouring bleach is running out the bottom. So, pour quick and get it sealed so it will achieve vacuum.

LBC 500

The LBC 500 liquid chlorinator is another effective tool for final effluent disinfection. It is easily managed once installed and adjusted. This chlorinator uses a regular bleach, it will not operate with splashless bleach. Also, stay away from bleaches with additives, such as Clorax or any kind of scented bleach. Some brands of bleach contain soaps which will create a foam in the chlorinator as you pour it in. DO NOT use this type of bleach (Top Job). As a rule , if it creates suds you don’t use it. I recommend the brands Alamo and Cloralen. Both are clean with no additives. Great Value is also clean, but it is much more expensive.
